Leif Peterson lives in rural Montana with his wife and three children in a house he built himself. He enjoys hiking, biking, skiing, building projects, tending to their orchard, and of course, reading and writing. Leif has been the editor of two literary magazines, had numerous short stories published, and is the author of four books.
During the winter of 2009 Leif was challenged by a friend to write a 1000-word story about a man who discovers a Missing Person poster with his own face on it. Leif wrote the story and posted it on Facebook for his friends to read. But the friends who read it didn’t know he was done and demanded to know what happened next. Encouraged by their responses Peterson continued the story. For the next four months he posted new installments to the story as a growing readership eagerly followed along. Four months later Peterson posted the eighty-fourth and final installment to the story completing what could very well be the first-ever novel written entirely on Facebook.
